Finally got to fish today

Featured Replies

First time out to fish this year. Got to fish for a couple of hours.  Water temp was 37 degrees, and air temp in 40's.  There was some ice on the edges of the river yesterday morning from the 20 degree night.  Got skunked, although I did get a hit, but missed the fish.  Could've been a trashy trout.  Using a 4in plastic on a jighead.  Sure felt good out casting the rods, and a cold but good boat ride on the river.  Maybe next time.  Good fishing to all.

Jeez, I thought I had it bad when my water temps were in the 50's lol. I can't imagine a bass being able to operate in such freezing water temps. I know how it feels though to finally be able to fish.

I fish for smallies.  supposed to get temps in the 60's this weekend.  I have to go back to work Thursday and work the next 7 days, but then I'll have 7 days off again and will be out fishing again.
