First NY bass of 08

Featured Replies

Figures.....didn't bring my camera for the first time this year. Caught three 2 lbers that were cruisin the shore. First time I have seen any fish activity this year. Warm temps in the 60s for the past three days must have brought them up. Caught them all on * Watermelon Purple Swirl 5" Trick sticks on my spinning setup.

Also brought out my Citica 200d in hopes of catching my first BC bass.

Well I had a trap on and hooked into something. When I brung the fish to shore I noticed it wasn't a bass at all. But an 8" Brook trout lol. Wasn't snagged either. The whole #6 Owner treble was in his mouth. Never thought that small trout were this aggressive. It was a 1/2 ounce Rattle trap. Thought that was cool. Anyway it was nice to feel a bass on the end of my line finally. Was getting frustrated there for the past couple weeks. Maybe I should forget my camera all the time?  ::)

Glad it's getting warmer up there, I miss NY.
