I am leaving in the morning for my favorite fishing destination...Venice, LA. Me and my brother will be chasing the redfish around and will probably go after the specks too!! I am soo excited and everytime I go, I end up tossing and turning like a kid at Christmas.

I have 2 new rod and reels just for the trip. So wish me luck and hopefully I will have some good pics on Monday. (Actually I have internet where I am staying so i will probably check in before then)

OH and if you have never been to Venice, start looking into it. 40" redfish on a 7"M spinning rod is just unbeatable. Last trip a hauled in a 25lb redfish on 12 pound test and that was a blast.

This is truly the sportsmans paradise. If you haven't been down here you have to make the trip atleast once. It's awesome

Do you know anything about Shell Beach? A buddy of mine wants me to go there with him in Oct. but I am pretty sold on Venice. How do they compare?
