Suspend dots and strips

Featured Replies

I bought a pack of each a couple weeks ago for fishing cranks this winter.  So I can crank em down and stop them.  Does anyone else use these?  What other applications do you use them for.  I remember reading in Bassin' that KVD raps them around the tip of his rods.  I don't plan on doing that, but was curious about what else they are good for.

You can weight the hook shank when using flukes, senkos,or paddle tail swim minnows.Or make a suspending jerkbait slowly sink.Make a floating jerkbait suspend.Use to weight down frog type lures.Or rear weight a topwater to make it sit lower. Lead solder can also be wrapped around the treble hooks to do the same.

I use the dots and strips when I want my jerkbaits to sink slowly.  To get cranks to suspend I use soldering wire on the hooks.
