girlfriend outfished me 5 to none

Featured Replies

so i took my girl fishing the other day at that pond i just discovered. I was trying weightless worms with lots of bites but had trouble hooking up...... but, beth(my girlfriend) on the other hand had GREAT success with bobber fishing crawlers.

problem being she will only hook live bait if its minows. so i set her up, she cast, and im setting up my stuff when she hooks into a nice catfish..... and you guessed it, i had to unhook all her fish that day. and rebait her hook.....

at the end of the day i hadnt caught a thing, but she got 3 good catfish, a great bluegill for that pond, and an AWESOME largemouth that gave her the best fight of her life. I honestly enjoyed watching her freak out every time that bobber disapeared more than i ever coulda had if i had caught those fish myself. she was so proud of herself. and i was really hyped when she got that bass in close and i saw that flash of silver and green instead of catfish red clay color.

her she is! my baby! and the fish that gave us another great story to tell....... (dont even bother with the glove comments, she wont mess with fish unless shes wearing one. lol)

Good for her.  Ouch for you.  Sometimes I'm glad my wife doesn't fish.

great job man, you did yourself a favor by letting her catch all the fish. You have a fishin friend for life

Big O

I took my ole lady out yesterday and all she wanted to do was stick her  feet in the water i could hardly get her to throw a lure!!! Must be nice!!! ;D ;D

Hey man I know how you feel. It seem like everytime i take my girlfriend out she allways catches more. It's great at the begining but once they out fish you acouple of times it gets a little irritating. expeciilly when you change your lure and persentation to exactly what they are doing (because they some how allways pick the right colors for the right situation) and still no luck. But then finally your confidence starts building back up and you do alot better.

my wife usually out fishes me.  she picks what lures to use by how pretty they are...and it works.

Good for YOU!  I wish my wife would outfish me...she is more of a spectator for lmb.  She will striper fish wiht me if I hook her up with bait.  Keep your gf going man...that is really cool

I happen to think that's great.  ;D Congratulations to your girlfriend and Congrats to you for taking her.  ;D

Did you guys keep that fish? It looks dead...

It is dead.

unfortunately the fish did die.

It did not go to waste we cooked it up with some frog legs and fried potatoes.

We are new to fishing and was catching keeping and eating until we started reading about catch and release, so since then we have caught and released.

Not intentionally trying to offend anyone.... learning as we go.

Just joined a local bassmasters club so I can hang with other fishermen and learn even more :D

There are certain people who will give you a hard time, don't worry about them... you ARE entitled to your limit.

Nice fish

Keep the small ones to eat and please throw the big ones back.

I guess I'm some of THOSE people.
