I found this to be the most friendly place and a wealth of knowledge can be found here.- Comments on Yozuri Hybrid Ultra Soft Line
I had heck with braided line maybe because I was using spiderwire. after several different suggestions from members here I went with Yozuri Hybrid 10# test and love the heck out of it, so what you do not want and do not send to skillet you sure can send my way :-)- The bearing game
I am glad you asked this, I was wondering the same and I am looking forward to seeing what responses you get.- how to keep fish alive on stringer
Your best bet is a fish basket, you may need a couple because if you get a PB there is not alot of room in them for more than a couple fish. If you will be doing this long term on a regular basis you may look into an ice chest on wheels, rig up an small aerator and make a portable live well. All my fishing is from the bank and have thought about doing this. However since I am not fishing tournaments right now I just catch take a pic and release.- Re-oiling plastics for storage
I strongly suggest not to store plastic baits directly into the worm wallet bags, they are not perfectly sealed and the oil will ooze through the seams and mess up everything, get freezer bags to store the baits and the worm wallet to store the freezer bags. Will do! thanks- Re-oiling plastics for storage
Thanks for the clarification, I appreciate the input and feel better about using mineral oil. Do you think freezer bags will work for storage or would it be better to buy one of those worm wallets from walmart- Re-oiling plastics for storage
I had heard mineral oil would leech the color out of worms, is this true? I ask because I was ignorant and bought a crap load of worms a couple of months ago and I took them out of their bags and put them in plastic boxes in my tackle box, they started drying out, so now I want to put them back into some sort of storage system and re-oil them. If mineral oil is not good for them, what oil is used when originally packing them and can general public this oil?- 8-13 on a swimbait today!!!
WOW, I think I'd probably pass out to catch a hawg that size.... Nice Job!!!!!!!!!!!!- Catch & Release Vs. Keep and eat
Well I have sat back and read all the posts on this thread and it just makes me that much more glad I stuck around. As has already been mentioned, great tone, great feedback from both sides of the coin. I asked in sincerity and I got my answers and even learned A LOT along the way. I understand both view points now and I have a new found respect for catch and release. Thanks to everyone that responded and even bigger thanks for keeping it friendly and not making anyone feel bad for their opinion. I have a great respect for each of you and appreciate each view point. so to sum up my rambling post.... THANKS AND THANKS AND THANKS AGAIN great feed back and keeping it friendly and honest at the same time.- Re: for all yall that don't have a boat!
I am a non-boater wisturkeyhunter is correct. I use a lot of maps to look for old oil field roads that lead close to the lake and such. A LOT of walking for sure...- NEW
