Our first outing with Trace.

Featured Replies

My older son Jade has turned out to be a strong fisherman. he doesn't get bored , has plenty of patience, sometimes more than me. He can remove his own hooks, Tie his own knots, and carry all of his Tackle. He's starting to get better at watching his casts due to close calls with my head.

My youngest son is his total opposite. Trace is never in a bad mood, cant concentrate for more than a few seconds and gets bored fast. I couldn't ask for a better set of boys!

Trace finally asked to go fishing so we went and got him his own rod and took him yesterday.

I must have put 100 worms on his hook before the day was out but finally a bass made its way to his bait. He was very excited, Me and Jade sure let him know how proud we were of him. After a couple more hours he was done and just opted for a nap.

I don't know if he'll be ready for the next outing but it was alot of fun   for Me and Jade.

This may put it in to prospective for those who have taught Kids to fish  or have taken them before.

Left camera in truck

Rods tangled while fishing -twice.

Trevel hook in shoe from playing in tackle box.

almost hit with bait while casting - many times!

Only one broke rod from being stepped on -mine!

and finally, a lost anchor - rope broke?

After all of this I think I got to make about 20 casts, and caught two nice fish and only have proof of one due to the camera being in the truck but like I said we had a lot of fun.
