Well I just moved out here to Virginia Beach last month from San Diego, and have been dying to get a new Kayak. So last week I went down to a local shop and bought a Manta Ray 12. I've been out about 4 times and am loving it. I've managed to catch a few fish on each outing but my cameras batteries were dead. I finaly got some new batteries and went out today, and of course caught no fish worth photographing. but i did take a pic of my boat and a family of otters I saw playing in the river. I was pretty cool. I there is any one in the area who would like to go out fishing just let me know, I'd be glad to learn from a local.

nice kayak and sweet looking lake!

Nice kayak!  I want to get one myself.  I bet that works real well on smaller waters.  How does it do with the wind and such?  Do you throw out an anchor to keep yourself in a spot that you want to fish a while?  

Never really been out on one, but I would assume they move just as easy on the water as a bigger boat does, but you dont have a trolling motor to help keep you where you want to be.

That looks like so much fun.  I hear that is a growing method of fishing...off a kayak.
