night fishing tomorrow

Featured Replies

tomorrow i'm going night fishing on a very clear and rocky lake i will use a strike king midnight special on my small fish spots and a 10 inch worm on my big fish spots(i wish i had some strike king football jigs!)  does this sound like a good plan?

I would use the 10" in all spots!!! Just because you have only caught small fish in those spots before doesn't mean that there are no big fish there.

Can't go wrong with a Jitterbug either in case those don't work.

What's your opinion on the Midnight Special?  Just picked one up myself.

Bass are very sensitive to light. During the day they are going to be closer to the bottom. During the night they will hit anything making noise on top. Stick to top water baits such as buzz baits, jitterbugs, popper, etc...  Black works good for very dark nights but if the moon is shinning give it something to reflect off of like silver, gold, or chartreuse

Those should work well but at night i have been getting a lot and i mean a lot of veroucious strikes on all the strike king rage tails my fav being the frog.  Give em a try if you havent already.
