Avid spooks a few shorties

Featured Replies

Tropical storm Fay left my local pond way above normal levels.  I took a walk and bank fished with a super spook jr.

I caught 3 in no time.  all of them about 13".

Little guys fer sure, but catching bass on a spook is always fun

WTG Avid, whether small or large catchin'em on spooks is exciting. I have found that in the late Summer, an influx of new water is often a good thing to stir it up a bit and add some new foraging for all.

I'm from Tx but back in the 70's and 80's I would fish a variety of your Florida lakes for weeks at a time. Seems that the fish would react positively after heavy rains in the Summer, as long as the new water wasn't too cold.

You're right! With a spook, they're all good ;)...

I sure is fun catching bass with a spook. I caught my pb smallie (3.5lbs.) on a frog colored super spook. He dragged that spook 4 ft underwater in a blink of an eye.

Glad you are having some success.

Water levels are down at least three feet in central Virginia and  we need rain, bad.

After it rains I will try a Spook, but probably a baby.

Later.  :)
