My dad is out for my promotion and we went fishing twice... I threw every plastic I owned and nothing... wow... this bites... or should more fitting doesn't bite...

my dad did catch a huge bowfin though .... grrrr ugly fish I have to tell you,  but I can't complain too much.. its nice having him out here and just spending time with him...

Sometimes fishing is secondary.

When the dog days get to you pick up a jig or a deep crank and fish it slowly and erratically. Deep water is where they are right now. Give it another few weeks and you should have such better luck when the water starts cooling down and the fish start moving a little shallower. ;)
