I feel good about this one

Featured Replies

I have a big tourney this Saturday. There was a 3 day tourney there last weekend and it was TOUGH. I talked to many people over the last few days and got some inside info. There is 49 spots, I just registered in spot 33. It starts at 6 a.m. weigh-in at 6 p.m. I know where the fish will be and what they will most likely feed on. The payout is 700$ for 1st. I feel good about it, but I am still uneasy, i've been feelin weird all week. I dont want this to mess me up come Saturday. I think talkin about it may help, I hope.

You're gonna be fishin' son....That's all there is to it and there's no more to think about.

That is exactly the way the majority of best Pros see it.

Now that you know that, what's your choice?

well, if you know were the fish are at, you have a better chance than half the field right off the bat. cofidence is key. good luck!

As Big O says, you'll be fishing so that's the biggest/best thing.  Don't let performance anxiety screw up your enjoyment of the game.  And for Petes sake, don't let the hopes of money ruin it for you (or anyone else).

I always believe in having a backup plan.  Who's to say the fish are going to be where you expect them to be, that they will definitely bite, or that somebody else won't beat you to your spot.  Maybe having a backup plan or at least being willing move and adapt will help "hedge your bets" and ease your nerves some.

Good luck with the tourney.  Let us all know how it goes.

Well, it didn't go as planned. I didn't have anything to weigh-in, but I kept fishin hard as ever till the end. I actually caught more fish than a lot of people, but they were all dinks, I couldn't find the bigger ones. 1st place had 14 pounds and a few ounces with a 4 fish limit. It was a very nice tournament though. It was held to benefit a local wrestling team and 2 cancer fundraisers. This was the first year for the tourney, and it drew in 20 boats, some people backed out or a no show. Thanks for the encouragment!
