Caught my 1st one tonite..!!

Featured Replies

I have always wondered if I would ever catch a bass that had some one elses lure in it. Well tonite it happened. This bass had a pc. of line with a loop on it hanging out of its mouth.Got my hook out then pulled on the loop and out came a complete pre-rigged plastic 6" worm. I could only see the line

but when I pulled on it the whole worm came out of its mouth. All 3 hooks were disolved away..

lol. I caught a bass that had my fishing partners hook in its mouth once.  Those hooks seem to rust away really fast.

I have caught one fish like that as well. When I first caught it I was mad at the last person who didn't attempt to remove the hook but then after thinking about it maybe he just bit my lure so I could get the hook out and the pain would go away.

Thinking about the way the fish didn't even fight when I caught him and when I released him he seemed like he was compltely out of energy. So now I look at it like I helped the fish. ;)

i have caught one before with a hook in it.  but one time in minnesota i was wallaye fishing, the stupid northern pike kept grabbing my minnow and cutting my line with their sharp teeth, and stealing my jighead.  so i put on a steel leader and a big ol bucktail.  i caught a small pike right away, but before i released him i got four of my jigheads back from his face!!

friend today lost a nice one because it snapped his line then about 4 hours later my other friend was jigging in the same spot and hooked some line. pulled up the line and there was a 4lb 11oz bass on the other side with the first jig that broke off in its mouth.
