had a great day today. i havent had a day this good since back in march during the spawn.

i got permission to fish at my friends farm pond, which nobody fishes.

he showed me his farm and pond on google earth, and i saw the road leading to the pond.

when we went to the pond this morning, we drove down the dirt road and then there was a gate that was locked. we weren't about to unlock someones gate, so we left and went to a different pond down the street that we have access to.

about 30 minutes and one bass (dad's bass) later, my friend sent me a text message asking where i was. i told him about the gate and he told me to come back to his farm. so we did, but what we didnt know was that we went in the wrong entrance to the farm  ;D

he told us to go to the other entrance and then we just went straight down to the pond.

the pond was pretty big, and covered in duckweed.

i caught 9 bass at this pond, and my dad caught 8.

all the bass were caught right up against the shore, near some kind of wood cover.

these bass were so dark and pretty, but i forgot my camera.  :-[

i took a cellphone picture of about the average size bass we were catching. most of the bass were 12-15 inches long.
