Beast and I managed to get out a couple of weeks ago during the warm spell and hit the infamous cheerleader ponds.

That was the only fish caught.  :-/

At least a fish was caught. I've been fighting ice, wind, slow bites, and even dodging a mid-day raccoon without a single fish to show for it...

Beautiful ponds.

Wonderful that you all got out during the warm spell.

Now, to wait for the Dogwoods to bloom and warmer weather.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.  :)

Those ponds look better now than the did in the summer. You know there has to be a few toads in each of those ponds.

Wise getting any higher yet?

nice to see open water, only open water I have seen in the last couple of months has been my bathtub. looks like a great spot  :)

We know there is at least one (or was one) 7 pounder in the lower pond.

As for Wise, it was about 3' low two weeks ago.  Probably a bit higher than it was when you were here.

that's some good lookin' water y'all got there.  after a bunch of cold weather, at some point it's just nice to get out and go, fish or not.  glad y'all got to get out some.

Yep I wish I hadn't left the camera at home, she was toad and really wanted that frog. Caught her on October 6th great b-day present from me to me.    :)

That's some beautiful water, Burley.  Better luck next time.

At least there weren't whitecaps like the water around here has had on it this past week.
