JJ's Magic

Featured Replies

I know that the product was meant for a soft plastic baits but, was wondering if anyone have tried it on jig? I wasn't sure how it would affect the skirts?

I'm curious, before I try the product.

And how many ounce a bottle?

Edit: Nevermind, just view the video on their homepage that it does the skirts too. Great.

I would get the chartreuse color if I was gonna but it on a black jig, and just dip the end of the skirt. You could also dip the trailer.

I am planning on getting some in the spring to give it a try.

Add some blue for bluegills; add some yellow for everything; mix up an "orange" for crawfish.

Play around with the stuff and colors.

Just keep it in a cool place.  :)

Spike-it Worm Paint is the only thing I have found that will actually 'dye' the color black.  It really just coats the plastic or silicone...the dyes just turn black into a green tinge.

True. Years ago I used Spike It only once. I dipped their chartreuse on junebug brush hog tail, it turned to sorta bright green neon. Didn't like it nor did the fish :)

Read nothing but good things about JJ's. I'm leaning toward their clear ones.

I'll ask again, how many ounce is the bottle?

2 ozs.  Enough to last 3-4 months if you use it frequently.  Longer if you don't fish every weekend.

When dipping any skirt in JJ's, just know that the ends will curl up and after a few seconds they will straighten back out as the JJ's dries.  Just a heads up.

Check out the videos on their website. I think one of them shows JJ dipping a skirt.

I take a white spinnerbait skirt and with all the colors I come up with a mean looking fire tiger skirt. It's great.

The **** thing about dipping skirts in JJ's is that you can dip a few of the strands and once they dry they won't bleed into the other strands. You can't get that with Spike it.
