Had the privilege of fishing with memo43 yesterday (03-23-09). The odds were stacked against us recent hard rains had the water waay up in the pond and cold, another cold front blowing through and we hit the water late in the afternoon. We threw all kinds of stuff at them, but their jaws were welded shut.

Was still a great day for me. Got to hang out with a new friend from BR and enjoy some time on the water. Was fun to talk about fishing, rod building, techniques and his service to our country. My daughter got to meet a real marine who was gracious enough to bring her a real USMC medal.

Looking forward for the return visit in May. Hopefully then we can have a better report and some pics of decent fish for everyone.

Yes.  He's the real deal.  Just sorry we couldn't get the fish to bite.  He's coming back in May, so hopefully they will be biting then.
