38# Jack Crevelle

A 38# Jack Crevelle was hooked at the Boynton inlet, biggest I have witnessed ever.  I did not hook it, but after a good 30 minutes the rod was handed to me to "mop it up".  I could never have landed on my equipment, glad he it the other rod.

I would love to catch a jack that big. Those things can flat out pull.

They are unbelievable and do not have many rivals. Last year in the same location I caught a 35# snook, awesome, on 7' 8/17 rod and 2000 reel , 15#. I had that same outfit the other day and would stood no chance of bringing the jack in on that equipment.

I'm taking the liberty of partial credit on that catch.......hahaha.

i need to fish with you my man.......

a jack of that size would easily be one of the best fights of my life!!!

and, uh, 35# snook......oh, yea!!! my hats off to you sir!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me clarify, the jack was not my fish, I just finished it up for the last 10 minutes, lot of pics taken of that bruiser but none of my homeboys sent me one.

As far as that snook, caught him on the same reel as that last bass I posted (recently moved that reel to freshwater use) with a 7' hurricane redbone rod, same 15# braid, but with a 30# leader.
