Savage-Gear swimbaits

Featured Replies

Has anybody heard of or used these baits?  Cabela's has the 4-play

lip lure listed as new for 2009.  I checked the website video.  They seem to have nice action. The price doesn't seem too bad, but has anyone used them?

Do you have any more information?  On what do you base your opinion?

"Junk" - Now there's a short statement...

I have fished with most of their lures and the 4-Play is amongst my favorites for Pike fishing. It has a very nice S-curve motion at any speed level and the 3 different depth models covers most situations. And it catches fish...

But ofcorse I would prefer a wooden glidebait over anything else!!!

I feel like there are better ways to spend the cash... honestly the line gets caught behind the head of the bait consistently and it has a pretty mechanical action.  IN MY HUMBLE OPINION it is a waste of money.  For the same money buy a Sebile.

Guys Savage Gear has had cash flow problems since the market hit bottom and have decided to hold off bringing them into the US for the time being.  They brought a small amount in but have decided o hold off for the time being.  They are very good baits, but the Sebile, if you can find the size and color are just as good.
