Solid spinnerbait day

Featured Replies

Spent a couple hours at a local 5 acre pond throwing a black spinner bait with a blue grub trailer and colorado blades.  caught at least a dozen in the first 2 hours the biggest being probably 2.5.  I was pretty pumped about it because I never do good with spinner baits and today totally changed my views on them.  The spinner bait was actually only on the line because my dad took one of my rods the other day and didn't take it off.

Just thought I'd share.

glad to hear yea me too thats getting more confident in spinners. i just love the wsy fish hits them

Me too, I love how you can watch the bait suddenly start zippin off to the right or left.

actually believe it or not, i forgot to mention i had one hit it while i was clearing my spool.  which is probably unheard of with spinnerbaits

The spinnerbait bite is awesome when its on.Ive had more luck this year with downsizing my baits to 3/16-1/4 oz.I rarely loose many fish because i always use a trailer hook.

Spinnerbaits are one of my favorite lures! I love how it just stops on the retrieve when you get a hit ;D

Believe it or not, bass hit spinnerbaits on the fall quite a bit.  Good job on the fish.

That's an AWESOME sight!!! A chartreuse/green with gold blades is a great shallow water/wood cover spinnerbait. It's also really easy to see.
