Perhaps my worst trip yet.

Me and a buddy decided to hit the lake for an evening venture, it all seemed to go very well until...

We were having a good nite, not getting anything too big, but the numbers were there. It was really dark, and my buddy decides its time to raise the water temps a little, when it started. He leaned a little too far out of his 14' boat, and it started to roll, by the time I realized what was going on, my counter balancing act was too little too late, and we went in the drink. After I surfaced, and got my bearrings, I heard the last thing I want to hear while in the lake at night, "It's got me, it's got me! Oh dear god it's got me!". My buddy is now trying to make it to shore(75'), and I'm thinking about getting on the boat, so I don't get attacked as well, but against my better judgement, I decided to follow him to help kill the monster. I'm about 30-40' from shore when he makes it out, then all I hear is brush crashing, and blood curdling screams, and pleads for his life. At this point, I assume bigfoot has teamed up with the swamp thing to finish my buddy off. I make it to shore, and all is quiet, too quiet, so I call his name, and all I hear is a whimper. Several minutes later, I find him laid up in a blowdown telling me a snake has bit him, and it won't let go, so once again, against my better judgement, I start feeling for the snake, and I found it. Burried deep in his thigh was a treble hook from a mepps spinner. We laughed like idiots for what seemed like an eternity, and after sunup, we had a little swim to get the boat, and we lost alot of things, but we're alive, but since I didn't have a camera, bigfoot is still only a legend. ;D
