when fishing a berkley  5" swim bait   and i want to have a steady retieve or swim it  what size hook  would be the best a  4/0 or 5/0  and weight   1/4 oz?   owner has a nice hook called the beast or gammy has a good weighted hook dont know what to use. thank you guys

Swimbaits are heavy by themselves but 1/8 to 1/4 is good I like the 5/0 hooks Yum money hooks are good But owner hooks are the sharpest I know of Except Gamakatsu hooks

5/0 belly weighted Gammie either 1/8 or 1/4 will work but 1/4 will let you throw it a mile and keep it straight on a faster retrieve which is what you sometimes need
