Anyone else battle with these fish?

Featured Replies

Got out with my 6 year old son for 3 hours on a East Tennessee Lake to try out some new spoons that we are selling now and could only find 1 16 inch small mouth but caught 2 good hybrids. These things pull like a freight train.

Pictures and netting by my son, I asked if he got us in the picture and he said yes. When we looked at them at home and I asked what happened. His reply, I got the fish.

Hope this great fall weather holds for awhile.

WOW :o  look at the belly on that one. Congrats nice find.

In the last few years of my Dad's life he really got into catching schooling hybrids on Taylorsville Lake in Kentucky. I never had the chance to fish for them with him, but last weekend I got into them where Dead Lakes runs into the Chipola River. I have to believe Dad was watching down and saying, "Well, do you see now why I liked them so much?"

Oh yes we have a Power Plant lake here with big stripers. They run had as close to a Tuna as we can expect in the Midwest. I caught one on light spinning tackle with 6 lb line. This Striper went 16 lbs, to say the least he about spooled me 6 times before I was able to land it. This as some bad mothers. ;D

Wow those are really big, could never imagine catching them that size.

Wow those almost look like really big Crappie!!

Good fish though.

I've heard those things fight really hard! Nice fish and congrats!
