Occoquan Res. 12/6 pic.

Well, I was'nt gonna let a bit o' the white fluffy keep me from my Sunday outing. After a little bit of work clearing the snow from my boat cover, I decided it should be a pretty good day once the sun got up and warmed the pavement. Figured I better check in on my late season jerkbait spot. After about 30 min. of hauling water, I got my first bite. Missed it, felt like a good one too. 3 cast later I get bit again, nothing spectacular, but it had some weight.

You can see the tail of a large shad in there if you look close. Fun day, caught 14 fish, this was the largest. Bunch of 2's. caught them shallow, deep, jerkbait, baby brush hog, dropshot. Not bad right after the snow!!!

Sweet! Good work, John!

I caught a few fish on the Occoquan river last week using a silver buddy but nothing like that.

Thanks Dan, I should have been looking at shallow water, and hitting some banks a bit more. There was a bite going on but I think I spent a little too much time looking at jerkbait spots!!

What Dan said, been catching them on jigs too but deff nothing like that!

Good work man, you deff know what you're doing out there!

Thanks Thai.  It was a lot of fun.  I should have said something about getting out there, I was by myself and could have gotten someone out with me.  Keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't get super cold, I think I could have done better with a little more time.  Was on the water @ 10:00am, stubbornly looking for the jb bite!!

Dont worry about it man, I was looking for a partner today too but the cold kept most at bay so I ended up going out for a few alone to a local pond, threw only jigs and only manage two dinks
