First Ice fishing outing ever

Featured Replies

Yesterday, I went Ice fishing for the first time. Didn't think it could be so much fun. Overall our group caught about 15 nice bluegill and quite a few bass, even a 3lb catfish. Personally, I caught a bluegill and a few bass.

My fishing season no longer ends when the water gets hard.  :P

Trust me, if this was your first time, you had more fun because the weather has been decent the last few days.  it wouldn't have been as much fun a week or two ago.  Glad you made it out though.  Personally, I go when there is a shack available.  My job then is to make sure the beer stays cold and restocked. ;D

My kind of guy.  ;D

J.M. congrats on the fish.

Ice fishing is just not my thing, but I don't mind going.  I mean what option do I have, sit at home twittle my thumbs or go ice fish.

Ice fishing can be fun if you have the right equipment and some friends to go with.  A fold up shanty is a must!
