Went out yesterday and got my first one of the year. It weighed 5-4. Caught it on a 1/4 oz Picasso shakey head with a green pumpkin chigger craw.

A 5 lber!  Wow, that's a great way to start off the year.  Congrats!

I was fishing a steep sloping rocky bank. There was some brush but I caught the fish about 20 feet away from the nearest brush.
