On fire

Featured Replies

Ive caught 4 5lbers and a bunch of 3s and 4s. My buddy and i fished 30mph gusts and downpoor rain to boat 12 keepers. We each had about 20lbs in the boat in 3hrs and then it cleared up and the bite quit. Then two days later today i got another 5lber.

Down pour with 30mph winds is some major dedication, nice haul!

Nice fish.

very nice!!  Some of my better days have been in some of the worst weather conditions. Usually I have to go solo on those days!

Yes it was crazy weather. My buddy came from 2 hours away to fish so we figured as long as no lightining were game. Even with rain coats we were soaked. And also i had caught a 4 and 5 the two days prior so we were pumped. Yes turned out to be just rediculous. Fingers a little cold. Feet soaked. My wife called and i told her we 5 minutes from leaving and then we would hook another 4 lber. We just couldnt leave. We kept looking at each other and just laughing. My boat had not seen more than 3 keepers in the boat until Saturday. 12 fish all keepers, half over 4 pounds. Wewwwww. Taking my 13 year old nephew out thursday so hopefully we get a couple nice ones. Here is a pic of my best smallie from last year. 19 inch just shy of 5lb
