Friday on KY Lake, a tournament was held for some of our wounded vets. What an awesome event! Wounded vets from all across the county came in for a 3 day event of fishing and opening day of turkey season. This is the 2nd yr for the event.

I'm very proud we had the pleasure of participating. Greg and I each ran camera boats. I ran ours with a camera man out of Ohio. Greg had a 521 loaned to us by a friend for the occasion. His camera man was from TN.

Lots of local folks were involved. Fishermen, boat dealers, FLW, Outback Steak house fed us all after the tournament.

It was a GREAT honor to meet these Vets who gave so much for our country! Smiles were everywhere!

Now that's the way to be welcomed home. Must have felt good, for everyone. Well done.

That's great that you got to be part of that. Next month, I am volunteering as a boater in Washington, D.C. for the same thing. I am really looking forward to taking a wounded soldier out for a good day of fishing on the Potomac River. Great cause, and I wouldn't miss it for the world!
