-_-_-TACKLE BAGS-_-_-

Featured Replies

So i've had a good ol Plano drawer system tackle box for a long time, and i think it's time to upgrade from this obsolete system of storage.

What tackle bags do you guys recommend?  I'm searching for one that carries about as much tackle as my old tackle box ( http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_52238_100011009_100000000_100011000_100-11-9 ).

actually, maybe a bit more tackle because the BaitMonkey is holding me hostage for ransom  ;D

I've been looking into Brownings, falcon, plano, Okeechobee Fats, etc.

I have an H20 express bag from Academy sports, It came with 8 plastic boxes and has a zippered front storage area and 3 velcro pouches.  I also replaced their boxes with falcon FTO boxes.  I've got every falcon box made, so I just take out ones im not going to use and replace them with ones I need for that particular trip.  Anyway, the bag retails for $49.99 but you may be able to get it cheaper.  I got mine at a fishing expo in Nashville for $15 because one of the plastic boxes was cracked.  For that price it can't be beat.

A great value (i've seen it), but it's SO DANG big!  i don't have enough tackle to fill 8 humongous utility boxes, and the bag itself weighs 30 pounds, so i'm doubting i'll consider it.  There are smaller versions of Okeechobee Fats right?

yeah, just go to walmart, you'll see 3 sizes.

theres the green one (t1200, big one) and a blue one, and a red one. im not sure of the numbers on the blue and red, or which ones bigger, but just go to walmart and you'll see.

and my bag weighs 30lbs FULL. its only about 10-12 empty :D

but once you buy this, chances are you won't have to buy another tackle storage system for a while...

The red Okeechobee Fats one is GREAT especially if you're just a shore fisherman. Couple of my friends were jealous that I got it for $10 from Wal-Mart. The bigger ones would definitely be better if you have a boat and somewhere to store them.

The red one comes with 2 boxes which hold a good amount of lures and tackle, plus there's a bunch of space for bags of plastics, etc.

Absolutely: Okeechobee fats t1200 . from Wally World. I got the smaller red one first, I out grew it in 2 seasons.

If you want something that will last, Cabela's Advanced Anglers series

If you want to buy a bag every year or so, go with something else. Avoid BPS bags.

X2

I've had one of these for a few years now and it's great.  Holds lot of stuff.  My only complaint is the overall weight when loaded up.  I've really scaled back and have another much smaller bag that I use for kayak fishing and shore fishing.  If I'm taking the boat out for the day, the larger Advanced Angler bag comes with me.

I've got to think about yet another bag for when I got striper fishing in the surf.  Where am I going to keep all these bags :-/

This. Best bang for your buck on the market.

My brother bought me one of these for Christmas, I liked it, but the zippers on the top fouled up on it. Could have been a bad one.

I like the Falcon V6 speed bag.  Especially since I believe Cabelas has them on clearance in the bargain cave.

Later. :D
