ok, i have this 50-60 acre lake that is pretty clear, which is odd for sw fl, and deep in some parts. I fish it all the time. I catch fish in it all the time. tonight, between my cousin and I we caught 20 and probably lost another 10. NOTHING of any size. I caught one tonight that my senko was bigger than him. Im fishing senkos, spinner baits, cranks, top water...Im throwing everything I have. What am I doing wrong? I want to catch something a little bigger, any advise on how or what to throw. I don't have a depth finder to find the dropoffs, but can see some of them. Hell Ive even tried jigs...I actually caught on a jig, but he was a little one.

THIS COULD BE A SITUATION WHERE THE LAKE HAS ALOT OF SMALL STUNTED FISH. CAN YOU SEE ANY LARGER FISH IN THIS CLEAR WATER? IF SO MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY SOME SMALL BLUEGILL. IS THERE ALOT OF PRESSURE ON THIS LAKE? MORE INFO IS NEEDED TO MAKE A CLEARER ASSESSMENT.

never seen a lot of presure on it.  at the most i've seen 4 other boats on it over a weekend day.  talked to a guy that says his neighbor took a 9lber out of it.  have not seen many bigger fish.  seen one that looked to be about 4 lbs

I don't believe anyone I don't know about the size of fish...  see way too many people exagate in real life, and on this site as well.  too many 2-3 pounders become "a solid 6 lber" and they get even more exxagerated.

Like already said, if there's too many small fish, there's no enough food left for the big fish, so there will be less big fish because they don't grow as much.  Keeping some of those small fish and eating them will help out.

Go with the live bluegill on a Carolina rig to see if there are any larger bass in the lake.

The mothers of those smaller fish are somewhere.

After you find where they are you will do fine.

As the guys say, there may be an over abundance of bass and they will be small. Can you move them to another pond?
