I went yesterday to Hunting Run with my nieces husband Ladaniel who just moved up here from Louisiana and never bass fish before. We had fun for a hot day, even he turned red. The fish wasn't nothing big but I caught maybe 15 or so and he caught 5. He was tossing wacky with the Senko's green pumpkin/watermelon laminate and Gander Mountain's green pumpkin core. I was tossing several different types from wacky, drop shots, to cranks. The wacky I was tossing were *** Black/ blue Swirl and Senko's green pumpkin/watermelon laminate and black/blue laminate. I've caught probably 5 or so just trolling with my Xcalibur One Knocker chrome/blue. My pickerel I caught while trolling as well. My biggest Pickerel to date (though I was fishing for them). It was 18''.  Man that thing had some nasty teeth, I never seen that size of teeth on my smaller pickerels. I also tossed out the *** big bomb short fussed round bill. Which that was my first bass on crank besides rattle traps. I'll be tossing that more often. I also tossed out a drop shot using *** 4'' drop shot worm, watermelon red and albino shad. I had several hits but either I would miss it while I was working my other setups or they just wasn't taking the worm. I had one lil guy get off right at the boat. this was much my day. Hopefully I'll go out this weekend again.
