Orange lake 8/20/2010

Featured Replies

My buddy and I decided to take the day off and head to Orange lake.  The sunrise alone was well worth the trip.  We caught about 5 bass apiece during the morning bite mostly on flukes worked near the top.  After about a 3 hour stretch of no fish, my friend finally caught a little one on a wat/red speed worm.  I immediately switched to that, and what do you know, next cast and I catch my pb.  The timing couldn't have been any better as I made a nice cast to the next pad point I spotted.  After slowly working past the point, I sped up the retrieve and that's when she nailed it.  6lbs 3 oz, but the head on her told me she was more like 9 lbs a few months ago.  Some might say it was good luck or chance, but I know the timing was all a part of Gods perfect plan that included a little blessing for me that day.  A great way to end the day with a great friend.

lol , x2.

I cut the tip of my finger off on Orange, it looks like it came back nicely after that sink hole drained.

If you find my finger send it down.

Nice fat bass. Good looking bass country there.
