So last friday I was heading home from school which is about a two hr drive and decided I really wanted to go fishin. So I stopped by the house grabbed my gear and headed to the lake. Got there around 5pm. It was pretty hot and really sunny. Threw in a 5" GYB senko and got a big strike. That fish jumped a foot out the water 2 or 3 times then I had to fight him out of some lilly pads. EXHILARATING!!  I didn't get measurements but he's the biggest Ive caught. I caught him on six lb test too he broke the line when i was trying to get the hook out lol.

Pretty dark colors on that fish! Congratulations looks like give or take around 4 pounds!

nice fish!

congrats.

Nicely done

What color did you use?

Shane, what color and clarity would you describe the area you were fishing. I find junebug works best in dingy water if it is sunny or low light in clearer water.

Thanks,  Hookset on 3

It was actually pretty clear but I was fishin in probably about 5-10 foot of water. I get more hits on junebug than any other color Ive tried.

Which colors do you usually use? And for what conditions?

Nice fish! And the color on her is remarkable. Congratulations on your BR  ;)
