Was frustrated but turned out okay....kinda funny.

Started to do a little night fishing recently.  Was told to give buzzbaits a shot.  Just picked one up today.  Never had a buzzbait before so I decided to stop by the lake and cast it out and retrieve a few times just to see how to fish it.  First cast out landed right in the lily pads and got caught up.  Weird cuz I always heard they are basically the most weedless lure.  Tried and tried and couldnt get it free, ended up tugging to hard and broke the line like an idiot.

Well, that ticked me off cuz I just bought it and it was my first cast.  I didnt even get a chance to reel it back in.

So I went home, loaded up my kayak, and went out to go get it.  Ended up not finding the buzzbait, but did find a hula popper.  Score!

Decided to do some fishing while I was out there too.  Threw out a spinnerbait and after about 3 casts got caught up again.  Got it free and up came a nice floating rapala with it.  Score!

Only stayed out for about another half hour.  Got a dink.

Paddling back to the shore I notice something gleaming in a tree.  Get to the shore, look up and there is a spinnerbait about a foot out of my reach.  Grabbed a branch and pulled it down.  Score!

So ended up losing a buzzbait, but getting a popper, crank, and spinner.  Funny how things work out.

Just thought I would share.   :)

While shore fishing once i snagged my jig on a log. Two weeks later with a jig i snagged my lost jig and got it back in semi-good shape (Only semi because the eye was a little rusty) And Im always finding line, lures and hooks and bobbers in trees!
