First Fall Bass/First Curado Fish!

Featured Replies

Man I've been getting skunked this fall so far. I havent' been able to get out on a boat yet but I have hit a few spots from shore, especially now since I've got my first baitcasting setup. I've had a few hits on buzzbaits and a few rubber worms bitten in half by pickerel lol but no fish landed so far.

So I was determined to take some new spinnerbaits I just picked up to a spot where I have been getting some strikes. It was raining and cold but I wanted to NEEDED to catch a fall fish!! So I got out to the spot with a 7/16 oz booyah black spinnerbait and BAM got this little fighter on the second cast.

Hey - spinnerbaits DO work in the fall!

Nothin too big but it really felt good to break my fall curse and now I finally know I can catch bass on my baitcaster lol

Didn't weigh or measure it but I think it was around 14" or so. Decent little fight and for this area of Maine it's not a bad little fish :)

Congrats on breaking the curse!!!
