Tired of trying :(

Featured Replies

I havn't posted here since April, and I kind of miss it. So I'm going to try to become an active member on the forum again. Lately I havn't been going out much because of school, but when I do go fishing it sucks.

I either catch nothing or a dink or two. Idk, I think I just need to find new spots. I'll keep trying throughout the winter and let ya'll know when I catch 'em and what I'm catchin' 'em on ;)

Here's a throwback

Sometimes it's tough fishing when it gets cold and it probably gets pretty cold in Delaware .

That's very true lol, I'm gonna try to get out every day during winter break trying to catch just one decent fish.

The one your holding looks pretty decent to me...

Good attitude young friend... Can't catch'em when you're not fishin' so stay after'em til ice out ;)

I am in the same situation as you, DE.  I have no boat and fish from shore.  It has been real bad fishing since mid October for me.  But I'm still trying.  Stick with it.

Soon I'll be targeting pike in the river.

If there are big fish in your water then obviously they are still there. They will eat year round. now that its colder what I have noticed is to not go to where you were catching the big ones in the summer or fall. Go to those spots that do not seem to hold big fish but always produce some small fish. The big guys move into those spots to try and fatten up. These spots are usually full of bait fish like blue gill. Thats why the smaller bass are there year round. In the summer the big guys are out trying to bust the big shad.

thats a good 6 or possibly even 7 pound bass man, which does not suck dude.  :-/

Wanna get bit? Try a split shot with a baby brush hog or a senko. ;)
