Do any of you folks use the perfect skirts made by strike king??

Or do you tie your own? I just bought some on closeout at Wal-mart and they seem really nice. I haven't had them in the water yet, but they really dressed up a couple old spinnerbaits. One tip though, do not dip them in JJ's Magic and leave on your bench to dry. Man, is that stuff powerful. Unfortunately, so is my wife. Boy, is it ever cold in the doghouse this time of year in Ohio.  ;D

Dude, I have been in the doghouse so many times for leaving a worm that I've dipped in JJ's hanging on one of my rods. I have a drawer in my garage that has about 10 bottles of JJ's in it and I can't open it for to long our she will smell it in the house. lol

All I say to her is "Sorry honey, but the stuff works."  

I've used perfect skirts in a pinch and I liked them a lot. I tie skirts because I enjoy it and I go through a bunch. If you fish a lot of spinnerbaits and have the time to tie your own skirts I would recomend giving it a try but if you don't fish spinnerbaits a lot I would stick with factory skirts. Another good skirt to try if you can find them are war eagle skirts. They're very similar to perfect skirts but they are a little better quality IMO.

I'm starting to expirament with skirting my own jigs and spinners - I agree with the eagle skirts hold up a bit better but cant beat the closeouts at wally world.

I picked up some of these spinnerbaits from Dick's Sporting Goods about two years ago.  Stopped using trailers all together since using them.  I like the way the attached trailer hook is hidden in the extra length of skirt too.  Grabbed a bunch of the perfect skirts Gander Mt. had on sale and I am set for the coming year.
