Chris Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 When its crunch time and money is on the line and your livewell is looking mighty thin What do you grab to save the day? Quote
Big_Bass_Rich Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I find the nearest docks and chuck a 3" grub around or if too weedy a texas rigged tube jig. This seems to always produce a few fish for me. Quote
L.D. Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 A 3" tube jig in green pumpkin if the water is right Quote
Chris Posted November 25, 2004 Author Posted November 25, 2004 For me i break out the flipping stick. If im just looking for some quick bites i might pitch a fry or senko but if i am needing weight i flip a jig. I feel that i up my chances to catch a bigger fish with a jig and when my livewell is running thin one fish may make the difference. Quote
bquittem Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 i also jump on some docks for most lakes. The tournaments i fish are mainly ono lakes between 1500-300 acres, most are closing to the 1500 range. when we have up to 50 boat tournaments most of the obvious spots like docks get nailed many times by the end of the day. so if i have to resort to docks, which i dont like to do, i downsize and use something most people havent used. i go places i dont think other people, or at as many people have gone. like going to the backside of a large dock system and just fishing different parts. i like centepedes or smaller versions of senkos, somtimes i throw a bitsy jig from strike king.
