Glass_Man Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Greetings all. I'm new to the fourm, but I am enjoying and learning from all of you. I fished alot when I was young but then the girls came and the fishing became a thing of the past. Well the girls are in college amd I'm once again a smi-free man. I bought a nice little bass boat (a G3) with all the right stuff on it. Now I realize there is a learning curve. But with the Garmin, the new baits and everything... well it's a bit more than I was used to. So If there is anybody in Panama City that wants to fish and show me some moves I'de be gratefull. So far it's been Bear creek and Deer Point. But I'm game to go any where. Keep up the good work and Tight lines to all Quote
Orabbit Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Welcome Glass_Man, I started over at 57! after a 32 year absence from the sport. I fish from a canoe and fish small lakes, rivers and streams. Being semi-retired ( I teach part-time at a college now and only work Tuesday-Thursday with all summer off) and free of life's normal responsibilities I find I finally have time for myself and I greatly enjoy being outdoors paddling a solitary body of water. Of course a nice bass on the line gets the adrenalin pumping! Enjoy all there is to learn here - there is a wealth of knowledge! Quote
abelfisher Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Hey GlassMan, you sound like me. 50 next month, took some time off fishing, raised one kid , two to finish up. I too got back into fishing. Thought I knew alot about the sport until I started getting into these forums:)) Just sit back, take advantage of this forum and learn like I am trying to do. I am in California, sorry can't help you much there. Best of luck! Tight lines...got that right! ;D Quote
