Roadwarrior, I have tried circle hooks but I have found that they tend to put out an eye. I try to let them go unharmed if poss. I eat the ones I hurt. I feel they don't have much of a chance with one eye.

Thanks to all. Some one could compile a good book on the great advice given buy you guys I did buy new glasses and some tubes. One question How do you hook a tube to a spinner bait ??? I know it sounds funny but when I cast it the tube keeps comeing off.

The time is comeing fast for the Bass to be bedding. Do they bed down in the weeds ? I fish in heavy stumps and lots of weeds. Where is the best places to look and what is the best bait ? I'm useing Shinners now, is this still the best bait for bedding bass ? I fish the Fl. Panhandel. P.S. I really enjoy learning frome this fourm Keep up the good work

I introduced my wife to eating bass and she loves it. I keep 2 or 3 2 to 3 lbs. bass every time I go out. I let all of the over 3 lbs go to keep the breeding stock up. I fish not just for the sport but I enjoy the taste. If all the bass in Fl. were kept in the lakes, ponds and rivers there would be way to many small ones. So enjoy a nice fish dinner with your loved ones....

My dad swears off smokeing while fishing. He says the fish smell it on the bait and you catch less. Seeing as he only uses live bait I have to question his ****** ???

Fatson, I find the bass eat at night on a full moon,Whenever I go out the morning after a full moon I get a few at best. It might just be me but I don't think so..... ???
