Glasses?

Featured Replies

I'm in the market for some new polarized glasses for fishing since my 1 year old daughter just cracked my Costa's in half. I need some opinions on the best glasses out there. My price range does not go over $300.

I have a pair of Costas with 580 lenses for sale in the flea market...

They are the same ones Jason Quinn wears.

I ran with the Oakley Flak Jackets and love them!  Oakley has the best polarized lenses out there.  My bro in law has the half jacket with the blue fishing lenses and can see great under water in all conditions, I have the dark gray lenses which also see underwater great.  Dark gray is much better for high light and glare conditions, where the light blue work best for lower light, both work well in all conditions though.

I looked for a while at a number of different brands, and I'm pumped I got the Oakley's, can't go wrong with these!

You might start with Costa del mar customer service and see if they want to replace them. You might get a discount through them.

If that doesn't get you anywhere, I just got the Costa del mar Blackfin w/ 580 lens and am in love all over again. The black fins are oversized glasses to block side light from getting behind your lens and they give you good peripheral vision.  comfortable enough that i wore them for 8 hours yesterday.  Not the most stylish though. $175 ebay.

Try them on at bass pro and then buy them of eBay for 30% less.

I completely agree. Their Customer Service is pretty good from 1st hand experience. I have a few pairs of Costa's and I would have to say my favorite pair are the Man O Wars. I have them in Silver with the Blue 580 glass. The lens by itself is unreal but the frame is very comfortable and they also have removable side guards to help block out Sun from behind.

You remove the guard when you are out and about and you have a Stylish set of peepers.

They are a little more costly at $230 but well worth it.
