Anyone know anything about Rapsody rods?
The Rods are pretty Strong and Light weight. I like them a lot and I am starting to sell my other rods to make room for more Rapsody rods. I m actually going out today to throw my Crankbait rod 7' MH Moderate action rod for throwing Lipsless. I think they are worth every bit of the price. I have been using St. Croix for years and I m starting to clear them out

Best reel and rod for Finesse
Hi Davo, For your price range, I would suggest a Daiwa Capricorn 2500 spinning reel and a St. Croix 6'6" M Action rod. The Capricorn is very smooth and durable. The St. Croix is extremely sensitive and durable as well. You can pick both of these up and pretty much any Dick's Sporting Goods. The reel is somewher around $50 and the rod is around $100. There are many combo's out there but I think that is a pretty good setup and it keeps you in your ballpark of under $200 My finesse setups mostly contain 6 to 8lbs. test. My line of choice is McCoy Mean Green. L

tiki monkey?
I use the Monkey's and love them. 1/8 oz weight is a great weight selection. I use a Slider Pro Series 1/16 oz weight for the 3" and that is a pretty good deal especially when the bite is tough and you need to put a limit together. You def/ want to use weight though because they have a slow fall. Someone mentioned the Platypus, Awesome bait for flipping/pitching. I took the Watermellon Seed up to NY this year and limited out fairly quick.

Brand Of Jig
Not arguing that. But what good is a stand-up jig if it can't get to the bottom without getting hung up? They really don't. The new design is much better as far as fishing cover and the Weed guard has been stepped up as well (Stronger)

Glasses?
I completely agree. Their Customer Service is pretty good from 1st hand experience. I have a few pairs of Costa's and I would have to say my favorite pair are the Man O Wars. I have them in Silver with the Blue 580 glass. The lens by itself is unreal but the frame is very comfortable and they also have removable side guards to help block out Sun from behind. You remove the guard when you are out and about and you have a Stylish set of peepers. They are a little more costly at $230 but well worth it.

weights
There are times when you may not get bit on lures because of the weight but missing them because of it, Im not quite sure. I have had situations where I am only catching small Bass using a certain size weight and one little adjustment of changing the size, I immediately weeded thru the Dinks and caught keepers. It's possible they weren't Bass that he was feeling, could have been some other species. Just my opinion though

Brand Of Jig
The new design of the Evolution Evo2 jigs are awesome. The skid plate isn't as wide as the 1st series and they actually stand up much better. The finesse models are hit especially this time of year

weights
I agree with Sam on his examples for choosing weights. I use a different approach to heavy cover though. I have more success with a pegged weight. I have fished heavy cover with an un-pegged weight and have actually gotten the weight twisted around branches and thick brush. If I m fishing light cover, such as grass or a laydown, I ll go un-pegged. Im not saying he is wrong, just giving my own experiences here. I typically use Tungston because of the size of the weight. A Tungston weight in a any size ie.. 1/16 oz will be significantly smaller then say a 1/16 oz lead or brass weight. Another rule of thumb for weight selection I use is depth. If I m fishing a tube/ worm or a any other type of finesse bait in shallow water, (0-6 ft) I usually stick with small weights. 1/16-1/8 oz Deeper water I use a heavier size (1/4-3/8) Heavy Cover I will use a heavier weight as well so I can penetrate whatever cover I m fishing. The different sizes will give you a different rate of fall like previously mentioned so it is good to have the same bait rigged up on a couple of different rods and weights to see how the fish want it. You may also consider the profile of the bait as well. If you are crawling a Green Pumpkin Texas rigged worm like a Tiki Stik and you want to add a bigger profile, you may want to add a pegged 3/8 oz Green Pumpkin weight. Smaller profile= smaller weight. There is so many factors in weight selection but these are just some tips that I use. Hope this helps, L

What's your least favorite technique?
I would say dead sticking a soft plastic worm. It works, but painfully slow
