Tiny baits, light line, slow presentations.

Rat-L-trap and suspending jerkbaits.

Two other methods to try would be dead sticking or shaking your lure. If you try shaking your lure try to keep it in one spot.

Snagging. Yep, bust out the biggest ol' treble hook you got.      ;D LOL I'm KIDDING!!

Honestly suspending jerkbaits have always done it for me or if they're shallow enough - a topwater bait dead sticked above their head.. just given an occasional twitch. Spooks and poppers are good for this.

an M80..lol that will bring them to the top of the water fast....jk I have heard you can thump them on the head a couple of times with weighted soft plastic and that will tick them off and bite at the bait too.

If you don't want to use lighter gear, simply slow down.....even slower than you think slow actually is.

Do you guys use these same tactics in the winter time when the water is cold as well?
