Flipping And Pitching

Featured Replies

I understand that Flipping and Pitching covers alot of water but is it a slow technique once the bait hits the bottom? I'm talking about when you Pitch it in there and shake it, lift and drop it, or pop it. Do you do this part fast or slow, does it matter?

Thanks

Flipping and Pitching are just two ways to get the lure to a precise spot quietly, after that it's up to you how it gets back to the boat. The percentages are high that a fish will pick it up in the first 3 or 4 feet.

In the summer I hop and work it fast in colder water I slow it down. Most of the time they hit it on the fall.

Early spring use the lightest jig you can manuver so the ball slower .Another trick I do is trim the skirt about 1/8th in from bottom of hook holding it straight

Most fish will hit it on the fall 75% of the time.
