  1. Try throwing a Swimbait on the bed and dead stick it. It will look like the Swimbait your usuing is eating the eggs or disturbing the bed. If you do catch a nice one be sure to release her.
  2. Congratulations on the new boat. ;D
  3. I've tried the Palomar Know and the one I use alot the Improved Cinch Knot. The line is not getting tightened down all the way and I'm adding spit so it should go tied smoothly. Thanks for the reply.
  4. I have been trying to tie a lure to me heavier pound test lines. They are Monofilament and Flourocarbon between 20 and 25lb test. When I tie the knot and try to tighten it down it gets stucks half way throught the knot. I apply spit so that it will work but it still won't tighten up all the way. Any suggestions? By the way this is brand new line. Thanks
  5. I don't know if they are a different strain but the are often called "Bronzebacks" because they are sometimes a Bronze color.
  6. Bronzeback is another name for Smallmouth Bass.
  7. I fish out of my Grandpas boat when he or Grandma wants to go out. When they don't wanna go out I take out my Pontoon Boat. I agree with Spencer if you don't have money for a boat get a Float Tube. I fish in a club that uses Float Tube's or Pontoon Boats only, it's alot of fun.
  8. Whats your most productive technique to fish around docks? When you do fish them where on the dock do you usually fish the bait? Thanks

  10. This year I am goning to learn to how to fish a Jig and improve my Flipping and Pitching skills.
  11. I'd take the 10, my first double digit Bass would be something I would never forget.
  12. I know that the spawn is coming up and don't really understand how it takes place. Here's what I know, the male comes up and makes the nest and waits for a female to lay the eggs (Am I right so far?). Once the female lays the eggs what is her next move. I have read and know that the male is easy to catch but where doe's the female go when he's guarding the bed? I've heard of people saying that they've seen some big fish cruising (the females). Is that what they do afetr she lays the eggs just cuise around? Thanks
  13. Those are some nice looking fish. Congratulations.
  14. Kinda weird question but I'll ask it anyways. I was wondering if you guys eat on the water when your fishing. If you do eat on the water do you eat in tournaments and what do you usually bring for lunch? I personally only eat sun flower seeds and drink Gatorade.
  15. When I was on vacation at my Uncle's house he lived in a big housing establishment with about clear ponds. I saw many bass cruising the shore line and wanted to catch them. All I did was pitch a Senko in front of them and most of the time they would eat it. It has to be done so they can't see you and when the lure hits the water it has to be silent. Hope this helps
  16. I understand that Flipping and Pitching covers alot of water but is it a slow technique once the bait hits the bottom? I'm talking about when you Pitch it in there and shake it, lift and drop it, or pop it. Do you do this part fast or slow, does it matter? Thanks
  17. I've been wanting to learn how to fish a Jig for a while now. I was thinking If the next time I went fishing all I would bring is a one rod with a Jig on it and some different Jig's and trailers. Have you ever tried this with it leading to you fishing a bait better? Thanks
  18. When I see people Flipping and Pitching I notice that they are usually close when doing it. I also notice that once their bait hits the bottom they shake it or jig it up and down a little bit. Can you pitch from a further distance and work the bait all the way through the cover back to you instead of just shaking it or jigging it up and down? Have you ever tried this with success? Another thing, what your favorite bait for Flipping and Pitching? Thanks
