Food On The Water?

Featured Replies

Kinda weird question but I'll ask it anyways. I was wondering if you guys eat on the water when your fishing. If you do eat on the water do you eat in tournaments and what do you usually bring for lunch? I personally only eat sun flower seeds and drink Gatorade.

Soda's, sandwiches for lunch...other snacks also. Sunflower seeds are always good.

I usually carry a couple of sandwiches and some friut.  Most of the time i eat a good breakfast so i don't get too hungry till lunch time.

And plenty of water...

Pistachios, I chew them like sunflower seeds.

I don't fish tournaments, but I have at various times, carrots, hard-boiled eggs, sandwich, sodas, yogurt and apples. Usually a thermos of ice water, too, often in lieu of the sodas.

I bring Gatorade, a jug of water, and some jerky

Haha my friend and I bring a whole smorgasboard of food when we're on the water (not in tournaments). Sometimes we even fry up a few fish on the shoreline (never bass!). I have trademark triple decker sandwiches called "Simswiches" that a lot of anglers in the area are addicted to! lol Chef Sims is in the house!  ;D

Lake food=

Vienna's

Potted meat

Nabs

jerky

pork skins

with either Pepsi's or Mountain Dew

Get a wide mouth thermos and fill it with boiling water.  Drop in a couple hot dogs and bring some buns.  Bang - Hot lunch!

Great idea Redtail, never thought of that! I usually pack some high-carb energy bars like Clif bars. They don't really fill you up if you're hungry but they do keep you going 'til you make it to real food.

Thick sliced grilled bologna, slab of sharp cheddar & mustard on fresh Wonder Bread.  Add a dash of Tabasco Sauce and a side of salt & vineger chips, ooh-wee, now we're talking.  I went fishing ONCE without any beer and the fish wouldn't bite, won't let that happen again.

Sandwich of some sort, peanut butter crackers, and water or pop.  I also like sunflower seeds or a BIG CHAW OF LEVI!

Dude, do you fish with Tritonman?...lol  Sounds like what he want to bring all the time..lol.

We also bring LOTS of water or Powerade, peanut butter sandwiches, carrots, jerky, bananas, grapes, soda ie MTN Dew.  Then we hurry to the bathroom after eating most of that...lol.  Coffee too.

Jerky

Lance's grilled cheese cracker sandwiches

juice boxes or a bottle of sweetened drink

ice water

leftover chicken thigh (it also scents my soft plastics) ;D

alcohol isn't allowed on board

My fishin' fare is as follows:

-Peanut butter on cheese crackers (these are easy to eat and still fish at the same time)

-Beef jerkey

-Cokes (any form of carbonated beverage here in TX)

-Water

and when I'm out with the family or a long time. . .

-boloney sandwiches

-some kind of chips

- Nutter butter cookies for my daughter (she licks the cream out and chums with the cookies, unless I catch her and I eat the cookie part. ;D)

Morning Snack-Payday

Lunch-Payday

Afternoon Snack-Payday

I eat the paydays because they don't have chocolate to melt and fill you up from the peanuts. Also lots of water.

Breakfast fruit and nutritional drink

vitamins that help me focus like a bird dog

More nutritional drink and fruit for lunch

Dinner - as much as I can

If you're eatin' you anit fishin'

I love the B-BQ sunflower seeds. But they take to much concentration to shell while I'm trying to fish. ;D

I do like to chew beef jerky though.I precut it so I'm not having to wrestle to tear off a piece while fishing.

If I'm going out all day ill carry a sandwich a tater chips. And always a 6pack of drinks.Waah stop the boat i gotta pee again. ;D

Seems like u guys eat alot of beef jerky. So do i but because it is so expensive i started to make my own and in my opinion it taste alot better and its cheaper.

Meat, cheese, peanuts, fruit, lots of ice water.

Cold weather add coffee & chillie in a thermos

I got to try that hot dog thing

Cheese and crakers, p-butter and crackers, ham sandwiches, pop, water, sometimes some fruit.

I do like th idea of the hot dogs in the thermos.  I wonder how many hotdogs you can fit in there and still be hot at noon.
