How many of you use light wire clips rather than tying direct?   On which lures?  Do you notice a difference in action or catch rate? :

I use speed clips (Normans?) on my cranks, usually the more shallow running 0-8ft.

I have seen no ill affect to their action.  I have yet to lose one either due to a faulty clip and I have used them for about 5 years now.  

I use snap swivels on everything but texas rigged plastics. they seem to wrok good and they havent hurt my fish catching and they havent caused me to lose any fish

I used to use snaps and swivels on just about everything.  I'm trying to get away from that though and I'm using swivels only on baits that are going to twist my line if I were to tie direct.

I do use them on crankbaits,jerkbaits,and 'traps.I've caught alot of fish with them on.I've caught a 12.2,10.5,10.3,and a 10.1 with the clips attached.They're obviously strong enough to take a big fish.

I have used small duolock snaps for as long as I can remember and have 100% confidence in them.

I use snaps, even on topwater lures, depending on the size off the lure.

Will tie direct though when going into weeds. Tie direct to plastics, and jigs
