Hey everyone, I'm new to the board.  I have a question about the recent tournament at Sam Rayburn Lake.  I read the stats, etc. and I noticed a famous name listed among the participants-Pernell Roberts/Keith Hawkins.  I was just wondering if this is the same Pernell Roberts from the tv show Bonanza and Trapper John MD?  

And have any of you ever been paired with a star in a fishing tournament?

I kind of doubt it, but you never know-that is an unusual name.

I also dought it.He'd be about 80 by now.Don't know if he could even lift the rod to throw it.

LOL oh I'll bet that he can still lift a rod-he will be 77 yrs old in May and I hear that he is still in pretty good health. And I've heard that he is a fisherman.

Anyway I was just curious to know if it really was the movie star Pernell or some other person who has the same name.

Is there a way you could contact the tournament organizers and find out if that was the Bonanza guy? He was probably the best actor on the show.
