New to Bass fishing.

Featured Replies

Hello all. This is a great site. I was fishing a new lake yesterday that is not fished much. The lake has many large weed beds and areas that are covered in moss. I was fishing for crappie, and noticed many good sized bass that ignored me. What is a good bait to use in heavy cover? I caught a few small bass on a Mister Twister, but no large ones. Are there weedless lures to use? Thanks you   Paul

Welcome to the forum! If you have the tackle for it I would try a scum frog on top of the moss or a soft jerkbait would work. If you can hit the open areas try a wacky worm.
