im goin fishin tonight with my buddy hes real into catfishing after dark, but im not really into it im too impatient so ill probably continue to bass fish, any suggestions on a strategy for post sunlight fishing

zara spook or black jitterbug

I'm not catching much during the day,so I'm going to start night fishing.I read the suggestions on night baits.Would a black buzzbait and a black propbait work?How about a spinnerbait with a black skirt?

use a big ole' black jitterbug...im talkin musky size jitterbugs. then fish them right near structure/cover. reel in some...the pause, wait awhile (30+secs) then start to retrieve again...then pause again...do this till you get a strike or you get it to the boat.

That will be tough to match the two fishing styles.

Use dark colors to create a contrast to the night sky.  Spinnerbaits with a large colorado blade or top water.  Big bulky worms can work to.  Try a rattle with it.

Fish under lights.  They attract bugs...which attracts bait fish.  Fish just outside the lights penetration.
